Daxter is one of the two most important characters in the games. He is Jak's "sidekick" (although he doesn't like to be referred to as so), and he has a ton of spunk. He is usually the one who makes funny jokes, instead of Jak, who is almost always serious. He can be though, but not very often. Daxter loves just about any woman he sees. He falls in love with Keira, and tries to impress her throughout most of the series until he meets Tess. Tess falls in love with him as well, and is almost the only person who will listen to him. Later, Tess turns herself into an Ottsel so she can be like Daxter.

It's interesting to note that unlike Jak, Daxter is the only character in the series to have a major role in every game.

For some reason, he calls himself Orange Lightning very frequently.

Appearances

Daxter first appeared in Jak and Daxter. He does not have any playable parts in this game, but he does show up when you die. He is one of the two main characters in this game. This was when he was transformed into an Ottsel. He later appears in Jak 2: Renegade. This is where he first comes playable, but only in a mini-game in Torn's base. He is still Jak's only sidekick. He then appears in Jak 3. He meets many new people in this game, but he doesn't really take a liking to any. Here he becomes playable in many different sections of the game. Soon after, he gets his own game. Daxter is a game that stars him completely. This was released on the PSP. He also appears in Jak X: Combat Racing as a playable character. He is not default though. He must be unlocked.
